  • Align planting schedules with updated weather forecasts to maximize water availability and avoid drought or flood periods.
  • Clean canals, dikes, and drainage paths to prevent water from building up, which can damage plant roots and reduce harvest.
  • Strengthen seedbeds and cover young plants with plastic or other protection to shield them from heavy rain.

Weed regularly to help crops grow better by reducing competition for nutrients, water, and sunlight. Apply the right amount and type of fertilizer as recommended, and avoid using too much chemical fertilizer to protect the soil and nearby water sources.
